About Us

Inclusivity is more than just a buzzword. Conversations surrounding inclusivity is a great start, but it's just that—a start. For change to really happen, we need to take it further than talking about it.

Here at We The Future of Fashion, we help size inclusive clothing brands leverage their e-commerce platforms and brand experience to drive sales and minimize product returns. A more inclusive fashion industry can only be possible if sales are actually generated within these sectors.

Beyond our consulting services, we are committed to bringing clarity to fashion brands on what inclusivity in fashion entails. Inclusivity goes beyond offering a wider range of sizes–it’s also about building and engaging an inclusive community through a culture of belonging and acceptance, all the way through the entire customer experience.

Our Mission

We The Future of Fashion exists to demystify and streamline the path to inclusivity by providing consulting services, customized comprehensive assessments, and learning tools for clothing brands committed to creating a better future for fashion. We differentiate ourselves through our personalized client-centric approach to best serve each of our clients according to their specific goals.

What We Do

We offer a range of consulting services specially tailored to each of our client's unique needs. Whether you're a fashion brand looking to analyze your inventory and social media presence, a retailer seeking to create more inclusive shopping experiences, or an industry professional in need of education and training on fashion inclusivity, we're here to help.

Our services include:

  • Size Inclusive E-Commerce and Brand Experience Assessments: We conduct thorough assessments of brands' inclusivity efforts of e-commerce stores, community engagement, outward-facing company culture, and customer experience, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Size Inclusive E-Commerce and Brand Experience Consulting: After the initial assessment, we offer consulting to brands to co-develop a tailored plan to improve sales and minimize merchandise returns.
  • Inclusion Strategy Planning: We work with brands to co-develop customized strategies and action plans for promoting inclusivity and diversity through their company, guiding them through implementation and measurement of success.

Why Choose Us

We take pride in our personalized, client-centric approach, tailoring every aspect of our services to align with your specific goals and aspirations. We understand that inclusivity is not a one-size-fits-all concept; it's about finding your unique voice and defining what inclusivity means for your brand specifically. With our expertise and guidance, we'll work hand-in-hand to navigate this journey together, ensuring that your brand stands out authentically in the world of fashion.

Join us in our mission to make the fashion industry more inclusive and accessible so that everyone has access to clothing that makes them feel comfortable and confident.

About Our Founder

Michelle Chung started researching fashion inclusivity in 2021 and has decoded it into five main sectors: disability, size, gender, race, and culture. In June 2022, she founded We The Future of Fashion, a fashion inclusivity consulting firm. In October 2023, she released All About Adaptive: A Comprehensive Guide to Understanding Adaptive Clothing, the first-ever comprehensive, encyclopedic resource on adaptive fashion. The book categorizes the adaptive fashion available on the market today into four main accommodation types: sensory, access, mobility, and fit. All About Adaptive includes visuals provided by 11 adaptive clothing brands, including but not limited to MagnaReady, IZ Adaptive, Slick Chicks, and BILLY Footwear. The book also goes over adjacent topics such as the curb-cut effect, gross versus fine motor skills, and overstimulation in the context of wearing clothes.

Michelle has hosted events and seminars on fashion inclusivity and adaptive fashion in Los Angeles and New York to educate industry professionals and students. In addition, she has guest lectured at the Fashion Institute of Technology FD302: Designing for Innovation, educating students on the contents of All About Adaptive. She has also spoken about fashion inclusivity and sustainability on panels at universities, such as the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Michelle was featured in WGSN’s report in May 2024, naming her as an influence in the space of inclusive fashion for disabled individuals, or those looking for easy dressing and access.
